WATCHING THE WATCHMEN

11th March 2019

Founded by three ex-military personnel, this company wanted to become a household name in the Defence Industry.

They started from humble beginnings, with just one computer in an office and a distributed user base working from laptops.

Starting small meant that they needed cost-effective IT solutions in place to help them grow; getting the foundations right would be critical to their success, enabling them to expand quickly and easily as their customer base grew.

The company is now employing over 60 staff and trading internationally, but this rapid growth would not have been possible were it not for the IT solutions implemented by Network Armour.

The company now has a highly-resilient IT infrastructure with the necessary security protocols in place to ensure they comply with the range of standards governing their activities.

Considering the nature of their business and their clients, there was an immediate requirement to protect their data with a robust solution in terms of business continuity. This was unexpectedly put to the test following a burglary in which some key equipment was stolen.

Fortunately, due to collaborative work between the company and The Armour Group in producing a disaster recovery plan, 90% of capability was restored within a matter of hours after the burglary, rising to 100% the next day. It was not the ideal way to test the new security, but it was reassuring to know that the plan worked!

90% of capability was restored within a matter of hours after the burglary, rising to 100% the next day.

The company is now expanding again into larger promises, which presents more challenges in terms of uninterrupted working - downtime is absolutely not an option.

With the current systems and practices in place, we're confident that the next big expansion will be catered for, and the migration from one premises to another will be a seamless transition.
